Little Fashionista - Miss Paisley

Paisley is one of my "Year in the Life" children.  I am always amazed at Miss Paisley's fashion sense.  Head to toe she is adorable!!  Feathers, bows, boots and earrings with bling - I love it!!!  We had a great time visitng  the Ivey family homeplace and camp.

Paisley told her mother when they were packing for the photo shoot - "Ms. Maureen is going to "wove" this dress".  She was right!!  I loved it!!

Ben, Jennifer and Eli

Living on Ridgewood Road for most of my adult life has been a wonderful experience.  Recently we were blessed with some wonderful new neighbors, Ben, Jennifer and Eli.  As you can see they are the cutest family!!  Eli likes all things that move including 4 - wheelers (buttin-buttins) his term. A two year old and trying to get photos on a cloudy, rainey day was really fun, at least for me.  Not sure Ben and Jennifer were sure we were  having fun.  Little boys just love running and playing especially in rain puddles.  They are going to be great neighbors and we are so excited to have them in our neighborhood!!

McClure / Beech Family

What a fun time I had with this wonderful family. Grandparents, gorgeous mommy, very handsome dad and two of the cutest most fun boys ever. From playing in the fall leaves to throwing rocks and even a water hole or two we all had a great time. I simply love this time of year when families come together to capture the memories for generations to come. It just warms my heart. You can see all of the love and happiness within this family in the photographs.

Jefferson - 10 years old

So hard to believe that my first grandchild is now 10 years old.  Not only is Jefferson such a special young man but he is a very charming and sensitive boy.  He is the reason I got into photography.  When he was born I decided that if I wanted to have good  photos of him and soon after, the other 4 grandchildren, I had to learn the skills of photography myself to get those great photos.  Having two gorgeous daughters myself I know that having the time to photograph your own children is almost impossible. So Jefferson, being the first grandchild, is the main reason I do what I do today.  That being said it has been my pleasure to get to photograph so many amazing and wonderful children, babies, couples and families.  I am most thankful to have been so blessed with family, friends and wonderful clients.  Thank you all for making my life so complete!!

Dillon and Sydney

This visit to Virginia has been a treat to me getting to shoot so many wonderful children and meeting new friends as well. Monday was a great a day in the neighborhood with Dillon and Sydney. Dillon, a typical little boy was full of energy and enjoyed the outdoors. He reminds me of my grandson, Jefferson. Sydney has the sweetest smile and the cutest dimples. You never know with a two year old how things will go but Sydney was truly a joy. Thanks Wendy for sharing your lovely children with me!!

Carrie and Josh

Well as you can see it was another great day in the neighborhood.  At least in the Virginia neighborhood.  I've been visiting my daughter Michelle and her family and in the process have been very busy with photo shoots here.  I know that I say it all of the time and feel that I must say it again.  I am truly blessed with great clients no matter where I am!!!  Josh and Carrie were so wonderful withstanding the first really cold day with tempertures in the 30's.  Their Mom was wrapping them in coats in between shooting to try and keep them warm.  Despite the temperture we had a great afternoon and here is a peek from the shoot.  Thanks Cheryl for sharing your sweet children with me for the afternoon!!!

Emma, Owen and Logan

These three kids were absoutely the sweetest!! We had a great day in the neighborhood! Loved talking with Emma about photography, at least, when she wasn't talking about her favorite books.  Beautiful, bright and very smart, that's Emma.  Owen was very sweet and very cooperative.  He's a bit shy but I think we got some of his personality to shine through.  He did tell me he was promised at least a $20.00 toy if he did great for his photos.  Now Logan has a smile that will melt your heart!  He is a natural and when the camera is ready he is smiling.  Again, it was a great day in the neighborhood.  Thank you Kim for sharing your wonderful children with me.
