A Christmas Past

I was looking at some photos from past years this morning and thought I would share some of Drew, Bailey, Zack and Santa (my dad) from 2007. Holidays always make me reflect back on years past. Children grow up so fast it seems as if you blink your eyes and they are not babies anymore. This Christmas is special as always celebrating the birth of Jesus, remembering "the good ole days", watching children get excited about Santa and sharing the holidays with family and friends.

Christmas Time - Missing my Virginia Kiddos!!

I'm always talking about bribery with my grandchildren.  Well, this is another example of proof that it actually works.  This is a photo I took during the summer while visiting them.  After processing I decided to "Paint It".  I will have it printed onto a large canvas and I am sure my local followers will be seeing the "real thing" in the future.  One thing about being a photographer, or for that matter anyone with a camera, when you are missing the ones you love just put them on your computer to reach out and almost touch them.

As Christmas is only a few days away I wish for all of you to be able to reach out and touch the ones you love.  Merry Christmas!!!

Granddaddy - Tell Me About the Good Old Days

Yesterday, out of a sense of urgency, panic or maybe because of my Dad's illness I took my camera and went to my parent's home in the afternoon knowing my nephew Zack would be there. Zack is younger than all but one of my own grandchildren. He is really the brightest spot for my parents each day. My two daughters Michelle and Suzanne are their other two grandchildren.  Let's just say they are both still "29".  I've been working on several projects for Christmas and decided that Zack needed to have some photos made with Gone-Gone and Granddaddy. The lighting was terrible and the day outside was too cold for my dad to get out so we made the best of it. Some of the photos reminded me of the song by
The Judd's - "Tell Me 'Bout The Good Old Days".  You can also see the slideshow at:  http://www.photodex.com/share/maureensphotography/d8b79mg4

Drew and Bailey

After being very busy and also being out of town a lot lately I missed my Drew and Bailey so much!! Sunday we had a little family gathering so I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph these sweet, adorable, beautiful and handsome children.  They were so good and mostly cooperative knowing there was $20.00 afterwards for each of them if they were good.  Money works everytime.  As Drew gets older I can see in some of his photos that he would much rather be doing something else.  I love them so much!!  Here are two of my precious 5 grandchildren belonging to Suzanne and Ross.

This is one of my two beautiful daughters - Suzanne, Drew and Bailey's Mother.
I am so blessed to have such a great family!!  Didn't get Ross in any of the photos - he left early to go hunting!!
